The fairways are a driveway. If you like hitting your irons off of rocks and solid packed down dirt this is the place for you.
Iv played here the past two years every Thursday and Friday morning. Don't get me wrong, it's in terrible condition. However it's so close to my house and very quick to play. Today I went on a Wednesday and it was packed. It was taking so long that I figured I could just get my money back and go tomorrow before work. Not a chance. The guy in the pro shop said it was "up to the boss," and that he would never give my money back. I guess I will be finding a new place to play every thurs/Friday.
Played here for the first time today. Clearview CC is a very hilly relatively open 9 hole course. It is great for new and casual golfers. It is a fairly good value ($42 for 18 holes with a cart) and they have some great specials through out the week. The best one is Wednesday mornings before 10am, 9 holes for $5 or $10 with a cart.
I found it was challenging but for my skill level I could play well and par a few holes. Besides some of the par 3's there are very few flat holes. Many of the holes you are hitting up or down a hill from the tee but luckily many of the holes are wide so you can locate your ball if you stray off course. The fairways are in rough (no pun intended) shape and could use some reseeding and repair but the greens are great condition. At the end of the day it is a good time and you get what you pay for. A bad day golfing beats a good day working. A word of advice if you are not sure if you want to take a cart or not, I would recommend taking one.
The clubhouse also is a great price. You can purchase beers for the course at $2 a can and hot dogs are also only $2. They have other things as well. I think the most expensive food item is a $5 cheeseburger. I had a great time and would play here again.
this place is awesome. ten dollar golf and beer specials!!! play from the blues cause its short other than that no complaints!!!
Course is fun to play with beginners. There are some holes that need some intensive care. I was worried about my clubs getting wrecked. There was actually a tee box that was completely dirt. Not being re-seeded but dirt.
