I could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding this past August. I'm so thrilled and happy with how the wedding turned out. Noy and Cynthia are an incredible team who really know how to take care of their clients. I was so impressed with their professionalism, knowledge, and helpfulness every step of the way. Noy was always so thorough in her e-mail responses to all my many pre-wedding questions, and Cynthia was so informative when we came for the walk-through and food tasting. Also, we were trying to stick to our budget, and they were very respectful of that which isn't always the case with venues and their hidden fees. Everything was always very straightforward and open.
As for the actual wedding day, Cynthia was there to represent Chardonnay, and she was key in facilitating the flow of the day. What a reassuring presence. Also, the venue staff overall were beyond impressive. When we first walked into the venue to start setting up and decorating, we noticed the reception chairs were set-up with black cushions instead of white as requested. When informed, the staff changed them immediately with no attitude or complaints whatsoever. They were so prompt and accommodating. When we needed a table in the bridal suite for the hair/make-up artist, two staff members brought it in ASAP. The staff were on top of it in a way that was so impressive.
As for the food at the reception, it was FANTASTIC. We had the asiago asparagus, bruschetta, and smoked salmon w/ creme fraiche for appetizers, prime rib and stacked portabella for dinner. Everyone commented on how good the food was!
We got married at the oak tree and had our reception in the club house, and although I was a bit skeptical about the clubhouse (I had originally wanted the outdoor tent), it was absolutely breathtaking when all the set-up was done. They also recently repainted the clubhouse, and put wood flooring in the bar area which made the decorations really pop.
Overall, I really couldn't be any happier about how things turned out. I am beyond thrilled with having been able to have the wedding of my dreams at Chardonnay! Thank you!!
Had some family in town this past weekend and wanted to take them to good course, and our initial plan was to play in the City, but after discovering that TPC Harding had just aerated their greens, A few friends recommended Chardonnay. We were able jump on the course past weekend for $68 w/cart. Overall this is a nice course. The course is nestled on the cusp of American Canyon/Napa and provides beautiful views of the wine country.
Challenging layout- Most holes weave between vineyards. There are some blind tee shots, so some shot shaping is required. There are hazards (I.e. Gorges) on some holes, so the safe play will be to lay up
Greens-Overall greens are in good shape. Since we played in the morning, some of the greens were bit soft. Given the location of the course, it's not uncommon for courses to over water their greens during summer so they don't burn up.
Fairways-Were a bit soggy on some holes, as some of my drives were getting plugged
Cart Path- The cart paths are in pretty bad condition. Although the course is very close to the epicenter of the recent Napa earthquake, Staff reiterated that were no structural/landscape damage to the course but the paths look like they have been in bad condition for a while
I had high hopes for this course, since I would drive by it on our trips to Napa, but left a little disappointed. Overall a nice course, but may venture to other courses in the Area before returning
One of the more pleasant rounds of golf I've had in a long time. Some very nice holes surrounded by vineyards. Generous fairways with some challenging greens (long, narrow, multi-tiered). Risk/reward par 3's made it fun. Fantastic staff - Marshall let us start on the back nine to avoid a "company outing" ahead of us. Never felt rushed. Pace of play was great (didn't have to wait). Nice little driving range right next to the start (makes it easy to warm up before you start your round). Overall, just a great experience. Would highly recommend.
We had our wedding reception at this venue, and it was everything we had hoped for. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and elegant decor. Our guests raved about the food, especially the "huge" rib-eye steak (highly recommended for all you meat eaters). We owe our perfect special day to Noy and Theresa. From start to finish, they were there to answer all our questions and alleviate any fear or stress we had about our big day. Noy promptly responded to emails and worked with us to stay within budget. Chardonnay highly recommended! Thank you so much Noy!
I recently got married here. Noy and Theresa are very helpful, nice and accommodating. Beautiful scenery. My guests loved the food! Good thing since wedding food is usually so so. Salmon was good and the steaks were a good size, cooked perfectly ... Too bad I didn't get a chance to eat it. With the newlyweds making their rounds to greet guests you would think the staff would know to leave the married couples food there... Nope. It was one of my flower girls birthdays the day of the wedding. I specifically asked them to give a shout out and have everyone sing happy birthday to the 5 year old.. That didn't happen nor did she get her special birthday cupcake that I got for her. There's a few shoulda coulda would of's but overall I'm happy with the venue and it turned out amazing.
