Very average golf course that is pretty simple and boring but very well taken care of. Love everything else about the place.
My family has been with the Burlingame Country Club for nearly two generations, and I would find myself at the tennis courts on the weekend or playing golf. By the time I had grown out of being a 'child', I stopped visiting the country club as I found it lackluster and there were no children whatsoever (but what can you expect?).
Fast forward many, many years later and one wedding. All the memories of my childhood days spent here came rushing back and I was able to finally take in the beauty of it all. The grounds are absolutely immaculate and romantic, there is just this large sense of heritage when you step inside.
The wedding was absolutely wonderful and the food was amazing, just as I had remembered.
I have to say, I was a little dissappointed in Burlingame Country Club. It was definitely a fantastic course, but I set the bar really high on this one - and it just didn't meet my expectations.
The first hole was one of my favorites, a very old, almost gothic, staircase leads you to the first tee box. The back nine was much more interesting than the front, and the layout was confusing at times.
All in all, a great course - but left me hoping for a little more...
Went to a wedding here yesterday and it's was a very beautiful setting. The venue was both romantic and whimsical.
The clubhouse furniture, decor and layout gives you a sense of it's heritage. I don't know how long the place has been established, but there is definitely some of that old school glamor going on. I guess I wouldn't expect any less from an exclusive country club.
had a friend's wedding reception here. it was nice.
