Bristol & Clifton Golf Club has one of the county’s best kept courses, with 18 holes of beautifully maintained, undulating, mature parkland golf. The course stretches to 6,413 yards off the back tees and is a regular host of English Golf Union events. The course is laid out around varying natural obstacles including a former quarry and spinneys of trees dotted all over. Apart from the par 3s, there are only two holes that might reasonably be called straight, with the rest having some sort of deviation from tee to green. Although trouble is reasonably well distributed on both sides of most holes, the hook generally fares better than the slice.
