Wow - very lovely establishment. Was here for an evening wedding, and the country club was absolutely lovely. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked, and the staff (unsure if they work at the country club or were brought in for the event) had fun and were dancing to the music in the back.
Didn't get to see the exterior of the facility, but the indoors was well-done. Plenty of parking!
I don't know why anyone would want to read a review of a country club, but here goes. Two great golf courses, no waiting unless there's a tournament. Best golf in town, come play if you know a member because you don't have to deal with 280 traffic to get there. Plus, great golf staff and grounds keepers are under-appreciated geniuses.
Tennis staff also under appreciated because everyone is playing golf, but tennis facilities are excellent as well. Great pool with diving boards, rare in these litigious days. Adults can swim year round, but pool is officially open (i.e., has lifeguards) only from Memorial Day thru Labor Day because that's when college students are available to hire. Dana runs the show and has many great activities for kids and parents. Only downer at the pool is the music, which tends toward the abysmal, tone-deaf and screechy tastes of 12 yr old girls. Members can even fish in the ponds, just gotta watch out for stray golf balls.
There is an excellent gym now with a staff of very good trainers. Bunch of machines but also enough free weights to keep serious lifters satisfied. Also another room downstairs for classes: spin, PX90, yoga, and the like.
Food has gotten quite good in the past few years as well. Usually it's some sort of banquet, wedding, etc., but it's a fine place for dinner, especially when you forgot to make reservations elsewhere. Especially good for Thanksgiving and Mother's Day.
